Company History

TRC was incorporated in the State of Washington in March of 1994.

In 1995, we were operating in Vancouver, WA, making a revolutionary inverter-driven AC fuel pumps to various railroads, including Union Pacific, Soo Line, Canadian National and Amtrak. The railroads loved this pump because it extended the service interval for the fuel pump from 90 days to twenty years.

In 1997, the company was reorganized with manufacturing placed in a subsidiary company, and we were allowed to focus on our core competency - developing innovative pumps and valves for customers.

Business prospered and by the end of 1999, we had come to the attention of the big locomotive manufacturers who were had heard about our pumps from their customers the railroads.

In 2002, we relocated to Cameron Park, CA. We focused on designing larger and more sophisticated inverters for new locomotive OEM applications.

With inverter development complete in 2004, attention was shifted back to application products. We began development of fuel systems, including both pumps and pressure regulating valves, prelube pump systems and check valves.

In 2005, we started VARNA Products® as our production arm to focus on manufacturing these products and delivering them to the our customers.

Also in 2005 we began to learn of needs in the marine and stationary power sector for products similar to the locomotive systems we were already making.

Today we continue to focus on innovation and product solutions. In addition to the custom products we are selling to the Locomotive industry Varna Products also carries a line of "off the shelf" lube and fuel pumps and valves for integration into new systems.
